Technosport is established in Quebec city in 1972 by Edmond Vercheval and Gaston Thivierge. The company specializes in selling motorcycle and snowmobile parts. In 1986, Technosport launches a division to sell T-shirts. In 1994 Technosport is divided in two divisions, one for the distribution of motorcycle and snowmobile parts and accessories and the other for the distribution of sport clothing. During that same year, Technosport opens a warehouse in Montreal In 1997, Technosport sells its division of motorcycle and snowmobile parts and concentrates its activities in the activewear clothing business. It is in 1999 that Technosport expands and open a distribution center in Woodbridge in the Toronto area. In December 2001, Technosport continues its expansion by opening a distribution center in the Vancouver region. In May of 2002, the Beauchamp family acquires Technosport and moves its head office from Quebec city to Montreal. This acquisition brings a major change in the management and employees in Quebec. In November of 2005, Technosport makes an important transaction in the Canadian market by acquiring the distribution of Leisurewear Canada. This acquisition gives Technosport an important visibility in Eastern Canada by becoming the operators of a distribution center in Moncton in the Atlantic Provinces. In mars of 2006, in order to support its growth, Technosport moves its Montreal operations in a new warehouse, thus tripling the surface of its most important distribution center in Canada. In order to satisfy the demands of the Ontario market, Technosport moves its Woodbridge operations in Ontario to a new bigger building in May of 2008. Continuing its growth, it is in August of 2008 that Technosport becomes a major player in Western Canada by acquiring the operations of Gaults Apparel . Technosport adds to its operations a new distribution center in Calgary and moves its operations of Richmond in the building that was once occupied by Gaults Apparel. On April 4th, 2011, we have moved our Calgary warehouse in a better and bigger location. This move is done to better serve our customers in the Alberta market. Today, Technosport occupies a position of leadership in the industry of activewear clothing and serves Canadian customers from its 5 distribution centers strategically positioned from one ocean to the other.
